Cocktail: RYE's Vecchio

Hello! It's Appetizers & Cocktails Week here at THURSDAYS, and we're going to hit the ground running with a serious (and seriously delicious) cocktail recipe. Insert shameless plug: This cocktail is on the menu at my husband's restaurant, RYE, in Louisville. For anyone who can't come try it out in person, this is an easy recipe to try at home!

I headed over to RYE take some photos of the mixology magic. Watch and learn as bartender Doug Petry shows us how it's done.

What you need:

  • 1.5 oz vodka (we use Tito's Handmade Vodka)
  • 0.5 oz amaro liqueur (we recommend a lighter style amaro, like Amaro Nonino)
  • 0.5 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 0.5 oz rosemary syrup
  • 1 sage leaf for garnish

What to do:

Mix, shake and double strain into a martini glass. Garnish with sage leaf. Enjoy.
