Special events such as weddings, baby showers, Derby parties, etc call for new ideas for food and crafts. I recently attended my friend, Raquel’s baby shower (part owner of St. Dymphna’s and Noz catering services) and was so inspired. Raquel and her sister, Patricia, are the queens of detail so it was no surprise that Raquel’s baby shower was crafted and catered to perfection. Below are just a few details from the party that I photographed and wanted to share with you! The first includes the faux-layered cake made of paper strings, ribbon, and tissue. Next are the vintage drawings of children cut with zigzagged fabric scissors and strung with ribbon. Below that are baby pictures of Raquel and her husband, Greg placed in old frames. And then of course there was the food! The chocolate pudding was my favorite, but the cupcakes were impeccably sweet and creamy. The watermelon could not have been more satisfying on a hot summer day.
We hope that you are also inspired!
Happy cooking and crafting!
