Can you believe it? Summer is finally upon us and we will be turning one year old on June 12^th! It has been quite a year! In honor of this momentous occasion, we have made big plans for this summer. Colleen and I are thanking our lucky stars to have two totally awesome interns to help achieve our big goals for the next few months.

Colleen flew to NYC last week for the Thursdays big three-day photo shoot.  We are so excited about our new images and I am hard at work editing and retouching.  We will be doing a big update to the site over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for new photos and content on our Recipes and Crafts section.

Our blog page will soon have an archive section where you can quickly click and search through different categories to find just the right project and recipe to suit your needs.

Our shop page will be getting the biggest update of them all! We are finally going to be adding more craft kits and Thursdays gear.  Colleen and I will also be looking to add goods from a few up and coming crafters/jewelry makers.  Interested? For the very first time Thursdays is hosting DIY wedding craft classes exclusively in the New York area.  Colleen is preparing for her August wedding and we have come up with some creative ways to keep costs down and to make the wedding completely unique to the bride and groom (or bride and bride or groom and groom).   You can bring anywhere from 3-10 people to the DIY wedding class.  We will be offering two different options for classes: 1) 4 hour craft class where we can prepare décor ranging from center pieces to general décor to make your location uniquely yours for the night (depending on the difficulty of crafts and number of people, we can complete 2-5 crafts in a four hour section) and 2) A series of 3, two hour classes, where we cover DIY save-the-dates, wedding invitations, and DIY wedding décor.  These classes can be spread out so that your invitations can go out on time and we can finalize the décor closer to the wedding day.  Email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Happy February everyone! Well it is officially that time of year when the cold weather feels relentless and you are so pale that you could just be mistaken for a jellyfish, but do not fret! Phew!! We've been very busy over here at Thursdays! As the winners of DailyCandy's "Start Small, Go Big" contest for entrepreneurs, we were very lucky to attend the DailyCandy Academy on October 28th.

We were blown away by the generosity and support we got from the entire DailyCandy staff and all the amazing business experts and small business owners we met.
