Submission Guidelines

Submissions

THURSDAYS is dedicated to highlighting the work of local artists, small businesses, and everyday gals (and now guys!). Do you have a scrumptious recipe that you know our readers would just love? Have you recently finished a super cute craft or awesome DIY project that we need to see? Do you and your girlfriends have a (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.) tradition that you want to tell us about? Do you own a really cool small business/website/blog? Are you a guy who wants to contribute some DIY goodness?

There are a couple of ways you can currently contribute to THURSDAYS (specific guidelines for each listed below).

Recipe/Craft/DIY Project Submission Guidelines

Are you itching to share your favorite craft, DIY project and/or recipe, girlfriend tradition?

Here is what you should do:

Send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it :

  • write SUBMISSION in the subject line
  • include up to 3 photos no larger than 400x600px each
  • tell us a little bit about it—what is it, how do you do it, what materials might be involved (just a couple of sentences will do! We love projects that anyone can do.)

Website/Blog/Small Business Feature Guidelines:

We are constantly inspired by our fellow cooks, crafters, and creative types and we love featuring our favorite finds on our blog. If you feel that your website/blog/small business fits the THURSDAYS aesthetic and that we should do a feature on it, we would love to hear about it!

There are two ways to contribute a Website/Blog/Small Business Feature:

1A Q&A with questions generated by THURSDAYS and answered by you (click here to see an example)

OR

2A blog written by you (click here to see an example)

Here is what you should do:

  • if you have an idea for a giveaway for THURSDAYS readers, please include that as well
  • images should be no larger than 400x600px

Boys Like Thursdays, Too.

We’ve recently begun a new series called “Boys Like Thursdays, Too,” so we can feature all the awesome DIYers, cookers, and small business owners, etc. of the male persuasion. We are currently posting one Boys Like Thursdays, Too blog a month, but hope to increase that number. If you’re a boy that would like to contribute, just follow the above guidelines for each kind of submission. click here to see an example

Happy Cooking and Crafting (and sharing)!

xoxo,
Colleen and Stephania
