Colleen and Stephania now help host Thursday night dinners from both Louisville, KY and Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Colleen and Stephania don’t pretend to be professional cooks or crafters, but after over 300 dinners they are expert multi-taskers, idea-generators, and friend-gatherers. They’ve been cooking up delicious dinners and adorable crafts for more than seven years, and are certain that their laid-back approach and economical, user-friendly instructions will encourage and inspire cooking and crafting newbies and veterans alike.
After finishing up her Masters of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies from Rutgers University, Colleen worked at Barnard College in NYC for a few years while she and Stephania dreamed up thursdaynightdinner.org. In July 2010, Colleen relocated to her hometown Louisville, KY. She currently is working on building her freelance writing/editing portfolio and is especially interested in writing about food, crafts, culture, and anything girl-centric. Colleen is loving having Thursdays with her mid-west crew again and has definitely adjusted to the slower pace of life.
After completing her MFA in Photography and Related Media Studies at Parsons New School for Design in August 2010, Stephania landed an awesome gig in the photo department at More magazine. She had the privilege of working with the best photo editors, graphic designers, art director, creative director and photo director that she could have ever hoped for at a magazine. After gaining an immeasurable amount of experience at More, Stephania has recently left the magazine to focus on her photography and food styling career. She is busy working on multiple freelance photo shoots and is happy to be out shooting portraits and food once again. Stephania also runs the NYC Thursdays craft and wedding workshops.
